Rumour Mills: David Okereke set to return to Cremonese after loan spell at Torino

Nigerian striker David Okereke will return to Cremonese following the completion of his loan stint with Torino.

Torino opted not to exercise the option to sign him permanently after his six-month loan period with the Turin-based club.

During his time with Torino, the 26-year-old forward struggled to make an impact, failing to score or provide an assist in nine appearances for the Maroons.

According to Toro News, the deadline to activate the purchase clause expired on June 14.

With only one year remaining on his contract, Cremonese are now expected to seek a transfer for Okereke.

Since joining Cremonese from Belgian Pro League side Club Brugge in 2022, Okereke has scored 11 goals and provided five assists in 57 appearances across all competitions.
