Bendel Insurance Reward Rising Star Alex Oweifaleya with New Three-Year Deal

Nigeria Premier Football League side Bendel Insurance has secured the long-term future of highly-rated youngster Alex Oweifaleya after the striker signed a new three-year contract extension with the club.

The new agreement will keep the 19-year-old forward at the Benin City outfit until 2029, underlining the club’s faith in one of its brightest emerging talents.

Oweifaleya earned the new deal following an impressive breakthrough season in the NPFL, where he established himself as a key figure in Bendel Insurance’s attack. In his debut campaign in Nigeria’s top flight, the young striker scored 10 goals, finishing as one of the club’s standout performers.

His goalscoring exploits quickly made him a fan favourite and attracted attention across the league, with many tipping him for an even bigger future in Nigerian football.

The talented forward joined Bendel Insurance from OYC Academy, Warri, last year and has enjoyed rapid development since making the step up to professional football. His performances throughout the season demonstrated maturity, composure, and a natural eye for goal beyond his years.

By extending Oweifaleya’s contract, Bendel Insurance has reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young talent while building a competitive squad capable of challenging in the NPFL.

The club will now be hoping the promising striker continues his upward trajectory and plays a leading role in their ambitions over the coming seasons as they seek further progress in domestic competition.

For Oweifaleya, the new contract represents another important milestone in a career that is rapidly gathering momentum and offers an opportunity to continue his development with one of Nigeria’s most historic football clubs.
