Chiamaka Nnadozie: WSL Celebrates Nigeria goalkeeper After Stellar Debut Season at Brighton

The English Women’s Super League (WSL) has paid tribute to Nigeria goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie following her outstanding debut campaign with Brighton & Hove Albion during the 2025/26 season.

Nnadozie enjoyed an immediate impact after joining Brighton from French club Paris FC, quickly establishing herself as one of the league’s most reliable goalkeepers with a series of impressive performances.

The former Rivers Angels star adapted seamlessly to life in England, producing crucial saves throughout the campaign and playing a key role in Brighton’s defensive stability.

Over the course of the season, the Nigerian international recorded 62 saves and kept six clean sheets, underlining her importance to the Seagulls and earning widespread recognition across the league.

Her consistency, composure, and shot-stopping ability did not go unnoticed, with the Women’s Super League highlighting her impressive contributions and celebrating her remarkable first season in English football.

Nnadozie’s performances have further strengthened her reputation as one of Africa’s leading goalkeepers and one of the most influential players in the Super Falcons setup.

Having already established herself as a standout performer in France, the 25-year-old has successfully carried that form into the WSL, demonstrating her quality against some of the world’s best attacking players.

As she prepares for new challenges with both Brighton and Nigeria, Nnadozie’s impressive debut season serves as another milestone in a career that continues to rise, while reinforcing her status as one of the continent’s finest goalkeeping talents.
