Botev Plovdiv’s sporting director, Artur Platek, expressed the club’s excitement over the signing of Anthony Ujah from Eintracht Braunschweig.
The 33-year-old striker joined the Bulgarian side this summer on a free transfer after spending two years with the German club.
Platek highlighted Ujah’s extensive experience in German football, which includes playing in both the Bundesliga and the Second Bundesliga.
He believes that Ujah’s experience and proven footballing skills will be a significant asset to Botev Plovdiv.
“We are delighted to welcome Anthony Ujah to Botev,” Platek said, as quoted by Botev Plovdiv.
“He brings with him a wealth of experience from the top levels of German football, boasting matches in both the Bundesliga and Second Bundesliga on his calling card. His proven footballing qualities and ability to score will certainly help us to improve.”
Ujah’s move to Bulgaria marks a new chapter in his career, as he looks to make a substantial impact with Botev Plovdiv.
