Rumour Mills: Wilfred Ndidi set to renew contract with Leicester City

By Wale Mustapha
Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has decided to extend his stay with Leicester City by signing a new contract, as reported by Nigeriafootball.ng. The Super Eagles vice captain became a free agent on July 1 after his previous contract with the Foxes expired.
Despite interest from several clubs, including Galatasaray, Southampton, and West Ham United, Ndidi has chosen to remain at the King Power Stadium for at least two more seasons. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, “Wilfred Ndidi is set to sign a new deal at Leicester City as final details are being discussed—then all sealed.”
Romano further detailed that the new contract will last until June 2027 and includes a release clause. “Despite more than five bids, Ndidi decides to stay and sign,” he tweeted.
Ndidi played a crucial role in Leicester City’s immediate return to the English Premier League, helping the team secure the Championship title last season.
