OFFICIAL: Nigeria forward Charity Reuben joins Egyptian side Al Ahly

Former highest goal scorer in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Charity Reuben has completed a move to the Egyptian women’s side, Al Ahly.

The forward who last played for Israeli side, Hapoel Beer Sheva has joined the Egyptian side as unveiled on their social media pages.

At the end of the 2017 NWFL Premiership season, she scored eight goals, the most by any player in the league.

After playing for Ibom Angels and Bayelsa Queens in the NWFL Premiership, Reuben moved abroad to join Kazakhstan side, BIIK Kazurgut in 2019.

She returned to Nigeria for her second stint with Bayelsa Queens before moving to Hapoel Beer Sheva.

She later returned to Nigeria for her third stint and was part of the Bayelsa Queens side that reached the final of the 2023 NWFL Premiership Super Six, losing 2-1 to Delta Queens.

Afterward, the team went on to defeat Rivers Angels on penalties to win the President Federation Cup in 2023.

At the national team, she represented Nigeria at the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
