Charity Reuben wins Egyptian Women’s Cup with Al Ahly

Nigeria forward, Charity Reuben is a Cup champions as her team, Al Ahly emerged as winners of the Egyptian Women’s Cup.

Al Ahly edged former league winners, Wadi Degla 1-0 win the trophy.

With both sides not separated after 90 minutes, the grand finale went into extra time.

Ashrakat Adel scored the game winner for Al Ahly in extra time to clinch the title.

She broke clear to slide the ball under the opposing goalkeeper.

Reuben who previously won the FA Cup with Bayelsa Queens added to her trophy haul.

The title was the first for Al Ahly in the nascent history of the women’s team.

They will see this as a huge success during their maiden season in Egyptian top flight.
