Enugu Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure a victory against Sagrada Esperança in the second leg of their CAF Champions League qualifier in Luanda.
The Nigerian champions earned a narrow victory in the first leg in Uyo, and Ilechukwu recognizes the importance of the upcoming match as both teams seek to improve upon their performances.
“We are going to Luanda to play this encounter as a cup final,” he stated, acknowledging the technical prowess of their opponents.
“Our opponents are very technical and have fast players.”
Ilechukwu emphasized that his team has thoroughly prepared to contain Sagrada Esperança’s strengths while aiming to advance to the group stage of the competition.
“We have done our duties on how to contain them and push our way into the group stage,” he added. “It will be a difficult match, but I am optimistic of a positive result.”
As Enugu Rangers prepares for this critical encounter, the team is determined to capitalize on their first-leg advantage and secure a spot in the next phase of the tournament.
