Golden Eaglets beat Sporting Dream in pre-China Invitational friendly

Nigeria’s U-17 national team, the Golden Eaglets, recorded an emphatic 4-1 victory over Sporting Dream in Abuja as preparations continue for the China Invitational Tournament scheduled for early next month.

The friendly match was part of the team’s build-up towards the four-nation tournament in China, where the Golden Eaglets will test their strength against top youth sides.

One of the standout performers in the game was Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen, the Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy midfielder, who put in an impressive display with his energy, vision, and control in the middle of the park.

Raheem recently joined the Golden Eaglets camp in Abuja following his invitation from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), continuing his journey with the national team after previous appearances at the U-15 level against Morocco in 2023 and at the African School Games in Algeria (2024) and Burkina Faso (2025).
