Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa and experienced midfielder Shehu Abdullahi are making their return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with Kano Pillars following the announcement of their engagement with the club.

Both players, who were free agents after the termination and expiration of their contracts with previous clubs, have now joined the Pyramid Boys for the ongoing 2024/25 season.

Musa and Abdullahi were spotted at Kano Pillars’ training ground on Thursday as they prepared for their Matchday Five clash against Sunshine Stars, scheduled for Sunday.

Also joining the team is Nazir Laja, who is making a return from abroad to bolster the club’s efforts in the domestic league.

Kano Pillars confirmed that the new signings, including Musa, Abdullahi, and Laja, have all been included in the squad for the upcoming match at the Mohammed Dikko Stadium in Katsina.

The club wrote on their official X account: “Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, Nazir Laja, and the rest of the squad trained ahead of NPFL 2024/25 Matchday 5 clash against Sunshine Stars this weekend. We can confirm that an agreement in principle has been reached with Super Eagles players, captain Ahmed Musa MON and Shehu Abdullahi to join us for the 2024/25 football season. Both players have been included in the squad for our match against Sunshine Stars on Sunday.”

This will be Musa’s third stint with Kano Pillars, while Abdullahi returns for his second spell with the club.
