CAF Women’s Champions League: Moses Aduku optimistic about Edo Queens’ chances in Morocco

Edo Queens head coach Moses Aduku is confident about his team’s prospects as they prepare for the upcoming CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.

The Nigerian champions secured their place in the continental competition by winning the Wafu B Champions League playoffs, representing the region in the prestigious tournament.

Aduku expressed that the team is in excellent form ahead of the tournament, with no significant issues to address in their preparations. He believes Edo Queens have the quality to compete with the best teams in Africa.

“We are really happy to receive the news that Morocco will be hosting the competition. Our preparation is already in full swing, and we are hoping to put the finishing touches on it before the tournament begins,” Aduku told Nigeriafootball.ng in an exclusive interview.

When asked about Edo Queens’ chances, Aduku was optimistic: “I believe Edo Queens has everything it takes to compete for the CAF Women’s Champions League title. Only time will tell how far we can go.”

The multiple award-winning coach made it clear that the team’s goal is not just to participate, but to compete seriously for the trophy. “My target is not just to participate but to compete for the trophy. With adequate preparation, we will not disappoint the Nigerian people,” Aduku stated.

The CAF Women’s Champions League will take place from November 9 to 23, 2024, in Morocco.
