Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has shared insights into Bayer Leverkusen’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Wolfsburg, highlighting the team’s anticipation of a tough match.

Boniface scored a crucial injury-time goal to secure the win on Sunday.

“We knew how Wolfsburg would perform and what to expect,” Boniface stated.

“At half-time, we agreed again because we really wanted to turn the game around for our fans. We did that. Of course, we are very happy now.”

So far this season, Boniface has been involved in five goals, scoring four and providing one assist across all competitions.

His contributions have been pivotal for Leverkusen as they navigate a competitive campaign.
