By: Monsurah Olatunji

Nigerian forward Josh Maja continued his impressive form in the Championship, scoring his 10th goal of the season in West Bromwich Albion’s 2-2 draw with Norwich City at The Hawthorns on Saturday.

Norwich initially led 2-1, with goals from Marcondes and an own goal by Heggem, but Maja equalized just before halftime.

In the 43rd minute, he latched onto a cross from Fellows to fire in a superb volley from inside the box.

Maja, who was substituted in the 82nd minute for Devante Cole, has now scored in back-to-back games, further solidifying his status as one of the league’s top forwards.

His performances have earned him second place in the Championship’s top scorers’ list, trailing only Norwich City’s Borja Sainz.

Maja’s tally includes an opening-day hat-trick in the 3-1 win over Queens Park Rangers, marking a stellar season for the one-cap Super Eagles striker.
