Despite finishing fourth at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League, Edo Queens’ Miracle Usani emerged as the team’s solitary player to make the tournament’s Best XI.

The competition Technical Study Group, through the Confederation of African Football (CAF), released the team of the tournament on Monday, two days after TP Mazembe emerged as champions.

Usani played all five games for the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership champions at the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.

She became the second player from Nigeria to make the Best XI of the tournament.

Bayelsa Queens’ Edet Glory, who won the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League with TP Mazembe, was the first Nigerian player to make the Best XI in 2022.

Champions TP Mazembe is represented by four players in the team: Belange Nzumba, Merlene Yav, Lacho Marta, and Merveille Nanguji Kanjinga.

Runners-up and host, AS FAR FC, has two players in the team; Sanaa Mssoudy and tournament top goal scorer, Doha El Madani.

Four players from third-placed FC Masar made the squad. They include the goalkeeper of the tournament, Habiba El Taher, Shadia Nankya, Nantongo, and Sandrine Niyonkuru.
