Akor Adams Faces Another Injury Setback

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Jerome Adams is anticipated to be out of action for several weeks due to a thigh injury.

He incurred this latest injury during Sevilla’s 2-1 defeat at home to Atletico Madrid last weekend.

According to the club, Adams will commence his recovery process on Wednesday.

A statement on the club’s official website indicates, “Sevilla FC’s medical team has diagnosed Akor Adams with a muscle injury in the rectus femoris of his right thigh, which was identified after he reported discomfort during the final LALIGA match against Atlético de Madrid last Sunday.”

Adams joined the Rojiblancos on a permanent transfer from Ligue 1 side Montpellier in January.

Previously, the former Lillestrøm striker suffered a calf injury that kept him sidelined for over a month.

He had only just returned to play last month.
