NPFL: Shooting Stars appoint Nurudeen Aweroro as new technical adviser

By Wale Mustapha

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) have secured the services of promising young coach Nurudeen Aweroro as their new Technical Adviser ahead of the upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Aweroro joins the Oluyole Warriors from Ikorodu City, where he led the newly promoted side to an impressive fourth-place finish in their debut top-flight campaign.

He took over midway through the season following the departure of former head coach Bright Ozebagbe.

The appointment comes days after the club parted ways with Gbenga Ogunbote, who was dismissed by the new management as part of a broader restructuring effort.

Sources close to the club told NigeriaFootball.ng that Aweroro is finalizing contractual terms, while his backroom staff have already resumed duties with 3SC.

The 34-year-old tactician is expected to be formally unveiled at the club’s secretariat in Jericho, Ibadan, on Friday.
