Abia Angels FC Clarifies Status of Head Coach Mario Eshalomi

The management of Abia Angels Football Club, Aba, has refuted reports circulating in some sections of the media claiming that the club’s Head Coach, Mario Eshalomi, has been sacked.

According to the club, the reports are inaccurate and do not reflect the decision reached by the relevant authorities.

Abia Angels FC explained that during a meeting involving players, coaches, and management, the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Nwaobilor Ananaba, only directed Coach Eshalomi to temporarily step aside. The measure, the club said, was intended to create room for the resolution of internal administrative matters within the club’s hierarchy.

The club emphasized that Coach Mario Eshalomi remains the Head Coach of Abia Angels FC and that no official decision has been taken regarding his dismissal.

Abia Angels FC therefore urges the public, supporters, and members of the media to disregard any reports suggesting that Coach Eshalomi has been sacked, as such claims are false and misleading.
