2026 NBSL Round two Matchday three wrap: Hassan Abubakar Stars Again as Kebbi and Kada Claim Victories

Hassan Abubakar delivered another outstanding performance as Niger BSC defeated defending champions Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors 6-3 in Match Seven of the 2026 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) Round Two in Kaduna.

The prolific forward scored five goals to continue his remarkable scoring streak, while Garba Abubakar added the sixth goal for Niger BSC.

Anambra Beach Soccer Warriors fought back through a brace from Chizoba Iwumune and a goal from Gabriel Chinweze, but were unable to contain Niger’s attacking firepower.

Abubakar’s five-goal haul earned him the Man of the Match award.

Kebbi Fishers BSC maintained their strong form with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Jigawa Golden Stars BSC in Match Eight.

An own goal from Hamza Bagudu gave Kebbi an early advantage before Ekene Obi and Umar Sadiqee added further goals to secure the win.

Bagudu responded with both goals for Jigawa Golden Stars and was named Man of the Match despite ending up on the losing side.

In Match Nine, Kada BSC recorded a comfortable 4-1 victory over Ibom BSC to strengthen their position in the competition.

Tanko Emmanuel scored twice, while Victor Tale and Jude David Ebuka also got on the scoresheet for Kada.

Uwana Anietie netted Ibom BSC’s lone goal of the encounter.

Emmanuel’s brace earned him the Man of the Match award as Kada continued their impressive run in Round Two.

The final Matchday of round two was attended by imminent dignitaries including Permanent Secretary Kaduna State Ministry Sports Development Mrs Dorcas Benjamin, S.A Sports to the Governor of Kaduna State, Alhaji Saidu Debis, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) President Isaiah Benjamin amongst others.
