The Borno State Government has reinforced its support for sports development with the donation of a brand-new Toyota Sienna vehicle to the technical crew of El-Kanemi Warriors Football Club.

The presentation, made through the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development as part of the administration’s Poverty Alleviation Initiative, underscores the state’s commitment to improving the operational capacity of its leading football institutions.

Speaking during the handover, the Honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Comrade Saina Buba, emphasized the Zulum administration’s dedication to uplifting sports in Borno State.

“In Sha Allah, this is just the beginning. The administration of our mentor, His Excellency Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, is fully committed to providing all that is needed to uplift El-Kanemi Warriors FC and other sports institutions in the state so we can compete favorably at the national level,” Buba stated.

The initiative was met with excitement from supporters of the club. One elated fan, Ali Zakariya, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m happy seeing this new car. I know it’s the handiwork of Comrade Saina Buba. That’s why he’s the best among the best. May Allah guide and protect him.”

The Chairman of El-Kanemi Warriors FC, Malam Ibrahim Maina Mustapha, also extended heartfelt appreciation to Governor Zulum and Commissioner Buba, commending their consistent efforts in transforming El-Kanemi Warriors into one of Nigeria’s prestigious football institutions.

This latest gesture adds to the growing momentum around sports development in Borno, as the club continues to prepare for upcoming national campaigns.
