Nigerian midfielder Victor Eletu is set to remain at AC Milan, with multiple reports from Italy confirming that the 19-year-old is close to signing a new contract with the Serie A club.
According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Eletu is expected to commit to a two-year deal with an option for a third season.
The agreement, which comes after his previous contract expired earlier this summer, is anticipated to be made official in the coming days.
The U-turn follows growing speculation about Eletu’s future, particularly after a 2024/25 season marred by injuries.
With his contract situation now close to resolution, the midfielder will join Milan’s newly formed Futuro squad under coach Massimo Oddo, where he will work on rebuilding fitness and form.
Eletu had been regarded as one of Milan’s most promising youth prospects two years ago, and the club still views him as a potential first-team contributor in the long term.
The new deal provides a stable platform for the Lagos-born talent to resume his development and push for senior opportunities.
