Rumour Mills: Victor Boniface seals loan move to AC Milan from Bayer Leverkusen

By Wale Mustapha

Nigerian striker Victor Boniface has completed a sensational switch to AC Milan, joining the Serie A giants on a season-long loan from German champions Bayer Leverkusen.

The move, confirmed by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, will see Milan pay an initial €5 million loan fee, with a €24 million permanent option included in the deal. Should the clause be triggered, Boniface will sign a five-year contract with the Rossoneri.

The 24-year-old forward is expected in Milan on Friday to undergo medical tests and finalize paperwork.

Boniface arrives as a direct replacement for Tammy Abraham and Álvaro Morata, both of whom departed the San Siro earlier this summer.

After joining Leverkusen from Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023, Boniface made an immediate impact in Germany, playing a pivotal role in Die Werkself’s Bundesliga title triumph during his debut campaign.

His move marks another chapter in his rapid rise, as he now prepares to lead the line for one of Italy’s most historic clubs in their push for domestic and European success.
