Rivers United technical adviser Finidi George says his team is fully prepared for a fierce contest when they square up against Moroccan heavyweights RS Berkane in Friday’s CAF Champions League Group A clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.

The Pride of Rivers are targeting their first group-stage victory after suffering a disappointing 3–0 defeat to defending champions Pyramids FC in their opening fixture.

Finidi, a former Super Eagles winger, stressed the importance of a strong response from his players as they face the reigning CAF Confederation Cup champions.

“We owe it to our fans to rise up to the occasion and get a result against RS Berkane. We did well for 50 minutes against Pyramids and then lost concentration. We cannot afford to do that tomorrow,” Finidi said during his media briefing.

The encounter promises intensity as both teams chase early momentum in a competitive group.

Kick-off is scheduled for 4 pm.
