Super Eagles Receive Customised Bay Ice Watches After AFCON Opening Win

Victor Osimhen, captain Wilfred Ndidi, head coach Eric Chelle and other members of the Nigeria’s senior men’s national team have been presented with customised wristwatches following their 2-1 victory over Tanzania at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The presentation was made by Bay Ice, Africa’s number one wristwatch brand, just hours after Nigeria’s Group C opener in Fes. The commemorative timepieces were handed to the players and officials at the team’s hotel in the Moroccan city.

The luxury watch features the iconic Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) crest in green, with the eagle standing proudly on a football — a symbol of national identity and football heritage.

Confirming the gesture, the NFF announced a new partnership with the brand.

“We are happy to announce a partnership with Bay Ice on these exclusive custom-made watches for the Super Eagles squad,” the NFF said in a statement.

Bay Ice also described the watches as a tribute to the responsibility and pride that comes with representing Nigeria on the continental stage.

“Every minute in Green & White carries responsibility, sacrifice, pride. We are honoured to mark this AFCON chapter with a commemorative timepiece for the Super Eagles,” the brand stated.

“Thanks to the NFF for their support. Official watchmakers of the Super Eagles.”

The Super Eagles kicked off their AFCON 2025 campaign with a hard-fought win over Tanzania and will now shift focus to their next Group C fixture against Tunisia as they continue their quest for a fourth continental title.
