Bayelsa Queens, Robo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons Extend Unbeaten Runs on NWFL Matchday 6

The 2025/26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Matchday Six delivered another round of thrilling action on Wednesday, with defending champions Bayelsa Queens, FC Robo Queens, and Nasarawa Amazons all extending their impressive unbeaten streaks.
In Ozoro, holders Bayelsa Queens made it five wins from five with a commanding 2–0 victory over Rivers Angels in a South-South derby. First-half goals from Janet Akekeromowei and Kindness Ifeanyi sealed the win for the Prosperity Girls.
At Aba, FC Robo Queens continued their perfect start to the season, recording a sixth consecutive win after defeating Abia Angels 2–0. Goals from Oluwakemi Adegbuyi and Tosin Rafiu, one in each half, powered Emmanuel Osahon’s side to another dominant performance.
In Lafia, Nasarawa Amazons maintained their unbeaten run with a 2–0 win over Osun Babes. First-half strikes from Farikikyen Moses and Ayowunmi Omosuyi ensured maximum points for the Solid Babes.
Ekiti Queens secured back-to-back victories after edging debutants Pacesetter Queens 2–0 in Ibadan. Zainab Ismail and Winifred Eyebhoria found the net in the South-West derby.
Another South-West derby in Akure ended all square, as Sunshine Queens and Remo Stars Ladies played out a 1–1 draw. Similoluwa Okesiji gave the Sky Blue Stars Ladies the lead in the 50th minute, but Misturat Olamilekan equalised ten minutes later.
In Asaba, Delta Queens edged debutants Ahudiyannem Queens 1–0, with Charity Isaiah scoring the decisive goal in the 77th minute.
After five matches without a win, Confluence Queens finally claimed their first victory of the campaign with a convincing 3–0 triumph over Dannaz Ladies in Lagos. A brace from Seember Emmanuel and an additional goal from Blessing Sunday secured the 2019 runners-up’s first win of the season.
In Owerri, Heartland Queens deepened Ibom Angels’ struggles with a 2–0 victory, as goals from Oluebube Umejiaku and Onyinyechi Kalu condemned the visitors to a fourth straight defeat.
Meanwhile in Abuja, former champions Edo Queens produced a strong second-half display to defeat Naija Ratels 3–0, with Atume Doosuur, Mary Mamudu, and Precious Oscar all getting on the scoresheet.
Matchday Six further highlighted the competitive intensity of the NWFL Premiership, as title contenders continue to assert their dominance while others battle to find early-season momentum.
