Ranchers Bees Appoint Usman Abdallah as Head Coach Ahead of NPFL Return

Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Ranchers Bees have bolstered their technical crew with the appointment of experienced tactician Usman Abdallah as their new head coach.
The Kaduna-based club announced the appointment on Wednesday as preparations intensify for their return to Nigeria’s top-flight league after an 18-year absence.
Abdallah, 51, joins Ranchers Bees on a reported two-year contract following the conclusion of his tenure with Remo Stars at the end of the 2025/26 season.
The appointment underlines the club’s determination to establish themselves in the NPFL and compete effectively rather than merely making up the numbers in their comeback campaign.
Widely regarded as one of the most accomplished coaches in Nigerian football, Abdallah brings a wealth of experience to the role. His coaching journey includes successful spells at Kano Pillars, where he served as assistant coach and youth team manager, before earning greater prominence at Enyimba.
At the Aba-based club, Abdallah progressed from assistant coach to head coach and enjoyed a highly successful period. He guided Enyimba to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup and led the club to the 2018/19 NPFL title, finishing ahead of his hometown side, Kano Pillars.
The seasoned manager has also handled Wikki Tourists and Katsina United, further strengthening his reputation as one of the most respected figures in the domestic game.
Most recently, Abdallah served as Technical Adviser at Remo Stars during the 2025/26 campaign. Despite the club’s relegation at the end of the season, his vast experience and tactical expertise remain highly valued across Nigerian football.
Ranchers Bees will be banking on that experience as they prepare for life in the NPFL. The club hopes Abdallah’s leadership, tactical acumen and winning mentality will help secure their top-flight status while laying a solid foundation for sustained success.
