Samuel Adenola: England-Nigeria Right-Back Leaves Hemel to Become Free Agent

England-Nigeria defender Samuel Adenola has left National League South side Hemel and is now a free agent after his departure was finalised on 17 July 2026.
The 24-year-old right-back, born in London and predominantly right-footed, exits Hemel after establishing himself at National League South level. He made 47 league appearances in the division, scoring three goals and providing two assists, and also featured in the FA Cup, where he played 210 minutes across two ties.
Adenola originally joined Hemel from Hendon in December 2024 on a free transfer, stepping up after a spell in the Southern League system. His move into the National League South marked the latest stage in a senior career built across the non-league pyramid.
Before his time at Hemel, the defender had spells with Hendon and Harrow Borough, having earlier turned out for Holmesdale and Erith & Belvedere following a stint with Thamesmead Town. His consistent progression through these clubs has given him experience across multiple levels of English non-league football.
Adenola’s contract at Hemel has now come to an end, leaving him unattached and available to sign for a new club ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
