Super Falcons Star Shukurat Oladipo Extends AS Roma Stay Until 2029

Nigeria defender Shukurat Oladipo has committed her future to Italian champions AS Roma after signing a contract extension that will keep her at the club until June 2029.

The new agreement follows an exceptional first full season in Italy, during which the Nigerian centre-back emerged as one of the standout defenders in the Serie A Femminile.

Oladipo was instrumental in Roma’s successful campaign, helping the Giallorosse secure both the Serie A Femminile title and the Coppa Italia. Her commanding displays, consistency, and leadership at the back also earned her the Serie A Femminile Defender of the Season award, capping off a memorable campaign.

The contract extension underlines Roma’s faith in the 21-year-old, who has quickly become a cornerstone of the team’s defence. Since arriving from FC Robo in 2025, Oladipo has impressed with her composure, physical presence, and tactical maturity.

With her future now secured until 2029, Oladipo will continue her development with the Italian champions as she aims to add more silverware and further establish herself as one of Nigeria’s leading defenders on the European stage.
