Former Nigeria U20 international Chinyere Kalu has completed a move to Liga F side FC Badalona Women ahead of the 2026–27 season.
The 20-year-old midfielder will continue her career in Spain after previously featuring for Real Betis and Levante.
Kalu made nine appearances for Real Betis in Liga F during the 2024–25 campaign and was also part of Nigeria’s Falconets squad at the 2022 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.
The midfielder expressed her excitement about joining Badalona, saying she is determined to work hard, develop her game and achieve her targets during the new season.
“I just have a positive mindset that everything will be good and that this season is going to be better,” Kalu said.
Kalu will now look to make her mark at FC Badalona Women as the club prepares for the new Liga F campaign.
Badalona will begin their 2026–27 season away to Athletic Club Femenino on August 30, 2026.

Currently, Samuel also serves as the spokesman for the Nigeria Women Football League, further solidifying his influence and dedication to the growth of women's football in Africa.
