Nigeria midfielder Ekemini Ime joins Brabrand IF from Aarhus GF on loan

Ekemini Ime has joined Danish second-tier side Brabrand IF from Aarhus GF on loan, with the Nigeria midfielder moving to the club on 22 August 2026.
The 20-year-old defensive midfielder’s loan runs until 30 June 2027. Brabrand compete in the 2. Division, while Aarhus GF play in Denmark’s Superliga, meaning Ime switches clubs within the Danish football system.
Ime began the 2026-27 campaign with Aarhus GF but had not made an appearance in the Superliga, Europa League qualifying or Champions League qualifying before completing his move to Brabrand. He now joins a side competing in the country’s second tier as he continues his senior career.
The midfielder moved to Aarhus GF’s under-19 team from Klassisch FA in September 2024. He then stepped up to Aarhus GF’s senior squad on 1 July 2026, before leaving the Superliga club for Brabrand less than two months later.
Ime’s arrival gives Brabrand a Nigeria-born option in defensive midfield. His new club is scheduled to retain him for the duration of the 2026-27 campaign, after which he is due to return to Aarhus GF.
The transfer was completed on 22 August 2026, with Ime becoming a Brabrand player on loan from Aarhus GF until the end of June 2027.
