Racing Santander player directs angry insult at referee after Mbappe penalty

Racing Santander’s 3-0 defeat by Real Madrid sparked anger among the Cantabrian side, with players strongly contesting several refereeing decisions, particularly the penalty awarded to Kylian Mbappe.
The home players were also frustrated that the video assistant referee did not intervene to review the incident, which they considered a key moment in the match.
Inigo Vicente was among the most vocal in showing his displeasure. He left the pitch in the 82nd minute after Racing Santander manager Jose Alberto Lopez replaced him with Guliashvili.
As he made his way off, Vicente turned towards the fourth official and shouted an insult captured by DAZN cameras.
“My God, you have two fewer testicles!” he said.
The phrase is used in Spanish culture to suggest that someone lacks courage and is timid. Vicente’s outburst reflected the tension among the Racing Santander players during the final stages of the match.
The controversy centred on the penalty awarded to Mbappe. The Real Madrid forward received the ball inside the area and attempted to turn towards goal before appearing to feel contact from Brati around his torso.
The referee judged that the contact was sufficient to warrant a spot-kick, prompting strong protests from the Racing Santander players. Real Madrid went on to secure a 3-0 victory.
Fixture information listed alongside the report shows AEK Athens and Real Madrid under the Champions League for 04 November 2026. It also lists Malaga and Racing Santander under La Liga for 07 November 2026.
