Troost Ekong scores as Watford return to winning ways against Luton

After last 3-0 defeat to Millwall in the English Championship, Watford returned to winning ways at home with a 4-0 triumph over Luton at the Vicarage Road with Nigerian defender, William Troost Ekong finding the back of the net.
As early as the third minute of play, Ivory Coast defender, Hassane Kamara set up Keinan Davis who scored the first goal of the game for Watford.
Shortly before the halftime break, Ekong doubled the lead for Watford and was booked due to his mode of celebration.
After the interval, Brazilian forward, Joao Pedro increased Watford’s lead to three. Senegalese forward, Ismaila Sarr made it 4-0 in the 79th minute which added to the woes of Nathan Jones’ team.
William Troost Ekong saw full 90 minutes for Watford and received a yellow card in the additional minutes of the first half.
Luton were reduced to ten players after defender, Gabriel Osho was shown a straight red card in the 83rd minute.
Nigerian forward, Samuel Kalu replaced Ismaila Sarr in the 85th minute while goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye was an unused substitute for Watford.
The win lifted Watford from 15th to 10th position on the log with 23 points from 16 games.
Watford will next square up with Wigan Athletics on October 29, 2022, at the DW Stadium.
