Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze set to go against each other in club friendly 

Nigerian duo of Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze will face each other in a club friendly slated for December 17 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

As the Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, players of the team are opportuned to stay active with their club sides despite the major leagues being on break for the global tournament.

The Super Eagles stars who are close friends since their days in the Nigeria’s U-17 team, Golden Eaglets class of 2015, are also no exemption as their club sides face off in an interclub friendly.

The friendly is arranged to put players of the two clubs in proper shape ahead of league resumption later this month.

Osimhen who played for Italian outfit Napoli recently returned to full training after he was sidelined for two weeks due to back injury that ruled him out of a friendly against Portugal last month.

Before facing Chukwueze’s Villarreal, the team will take on Antalyaspor in a friendly on November 7, before they tackle Premier League side, Crystal Palace four days later.
