‘Half of Europe would like to have Osimhen’ – Inter Milan legend Salvatore Bagni

By Monsurah Olatunji
Inter Milan legend Salvatore Bagni believes Victor Osimhen can inspire Napoli to their first Serie A title in 22 years and he feels the Nigeria striker is on the wishlist of top European clubs following his excellent form.
Napoli have not won the Serie A since 1990 when the great Diego Maradona inspired them to the Scudetto and Bagni believes Luciano Spalletti’s side have a chance with the Nigerian star, who is the leading scorer in the Italian topflight with nine goals despite missing four games through injury.
“In attack, he (Spalletti) has a center forward like Victor Osimhen that half of Europe would like,” he told Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport, via FC Inter News.
“There could be some difficulties but Luciano Spalletti has shown that he knows how to juggle a competitive and hungry squad. So Napoli must fear only itself.
“But if there were a sharp decline then they would all come back into play, the Milanese and also Juve who in any case recover players of a certain importance, but I remain of the idea that Napoli will win.”
The Parthenopeans are unbeaten in the league as they are topping the table with 41 points – eight more than defending champions AC Milan in second place.
Osimhen and his teammates will aim to make a winning return from break against Inter Milan on December 26.
