Calabar Rovers FC welcomes back Samson Unuanel as head coach

Samson Unuanel has made a surprise return to his former club Calabar Rovers FC as technical adviser.

Following his return, Unuanel will be tasked with responsibility of promoting the Cross River based club back to the Nigeria Premier Football League on his second coming to the club.

In a chat with the club’s media, the chairman of the club Mr. Ebam Ejenosowor described the club as a meticulous team that works diligently to get the best results, urging the club fans to be patient and understanding that a successful season awaits them under the watch of Unuanel.

“We are a very meticulous club that works diligently and quietly to achieve only the best results. We have appointed Coach Unuanel and have made the announcement now,” Ejenosowor told NigeriaFootball.ng.

“I urge our fans to be patient and understanding. We are working very hard, as we always do, to ensure next season is a successful one for all of us.”

Rovers FC will be remembered by their embarrassing 13-0 defeat to Akwa United on August 2006.
