‘He’s the nearest to Didier Drogba’ — Ally McCoist on Victor Osimhen’s exploits

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen keeps getting praises from football experts around the world as many compares his style of play to legendary Didier Drogba.

Former Scotland star Ally McCoist, after Osimhen’s heroic performance earned Napoli their first Champions League quarterfinal slot, with a 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old scored a brace for Napoli, and his effort was crowned with the man-of-the-match award, becoming the first Nigerian player to score twice in a Champions League knockout game.

He is currently on 23 goals and five assists in 28 games for Napoli this season, as they look to win the Scudetto in style for the first time in three decades.

“He’s the real deal, I’m telling you he’s the real deal,” McCoist said on TalkSport.

“He’s the nearest I’ve seen to Drogba in a long time. He’s physical, he’s quick, he’s aggressive. Best header I’ve seen in five years. It’s some header.”
