Kunle Soname Denies Interest in NFF Presidency

Prominent Nigerian businessman and football investor Kunle Soname has dismissed reports suggesting he is planning to contest for the presidency of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), insisting he has no interest in the position.

Soname, who founded Beyond Limits Football Academy and owns Remo Stars FC, ValueJet Airlines, Bet9ja, and several other successful businesses, said he only became aware of the speculation after seeing reports in newspapers and on online platforms.

Speaking with Abuja-based sports broadcaster Tolu Oguntimehin, Soname firmly denied harbouring any ambition to lead Nigerian football’s governing body.

“Tolu, I only read about it in newspapers and blogs, just like you. I am not interested in the NFF presidency. I don’t jostle for positions,” he said.

His comments effectively put an end to growing speculation across social media and sections of the sports media that he was preparing to enter the race for the NFF’s top office.

Widely respected for his investments in Nigerian football, Soname has played a significant role in the growth of Remo Stars FC and has earned recognition for promoting youth development through Beyond Limits Football Academy.

Despite his contributions to the domestic game, Soname has now made it clear that he has no intention of seeking the presidency of the Nigeria Football Federation.
