England-born Nigeria defender Ashleigh Plumptre reveals her favorite Nigeria dish

Ashleigh Plumptre is a name that rings a bell in the world of football as the England-born football player is currently a key player in the Nigerian women’s national football team.
The Leicester City defender has revealed her favorite Nigerian food as Moin-moin which is a steamed bean pudding just as she looks to delve more into her African heritage.
“Whenever I’m asked about my favorite Nigerian food, this is it [moin-moin]. And every time I have had it so much that it’s not at home, it always looks different. But it always tastes very good,” Plumptre told Optus Sports.
“For me, I always say that I have to play football for more than just playing lf. The same way that I chose to join Leicester because of my hometown’s club.
“My grandad was born in Lagos. But I been brought up very British, so, I want to join Nigerian team where I got to experience food like this, experience more of the culture.”
