Joy Omewa scores as Fortuna Hjorring secure fourth straight win

Nigeria forward, Joy Omewa was on target as her Danish Elitedivisionen women’s side, Fortuna Hjorring sealed a 3-0 win against Nordsjaelland on Sunday.
The visitors had won their last three games while the host has lost two of the previous three games ahead of Sunday’s clash.
Karoline Olesen scored the first goal of the match for Fortuna Hjorring in the tenth minute.
She doubled the lead for the visitors in the 41st minute to activate a comfortable halftime lead.
Omewa put the game beyond reasonable doubt with her side’s third goal in the 53rd minute.
The former Confluence Queens player saw 85 minutes of action before she was replaced by Aleigh Gambone.
Fortuna Hjorring with the win maintained its third position on the Danish women’s top-flight Championship Group with 41 points, 12 points behind second-placed Brondby and 15 points short of leaders, Koge.
The team will face Koge and Thisted in its last two league games before ending the season with the Danish Women’s Cup encounter with Nordsjaelland on June 21.
