Victor Osimhen hails leadership qualities of Nigeria U20 captain Daniel Bameyi

Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen has expressed his admiration for the country’s U20 men’s national team and paid glowing tribute to their captain, Daniel Bameyi following the 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup.

Osimhen extended a special invitation to Bameyi to Super Eagles’ camp in ahead of their AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone and commended the captain for his leadership after the quarterfinal finish in Argentina.

The Napoli striker urged the young captain to remain focused, adding that he has a bright future in football.

“I want to appreciate and celebrate the Flying Eagles for making Nigerians happy and proud at the FIFA U20 World Cup in Argentina,” said Osimhen.

“I invited you to Super Eagles’ camp to show my appreciation and celebrate you before the team.

“I want to also seize this opportunity to let you know that the world saw your quality and leadership skill on and off the pitch.”

Bameyi who has one senior national team cap won the best passer and marker by FIFA in three games at the Argentina mundial.
