Women’s World Cup: Toni Payne talks up Nigeria’s readiness for England

Toni Payne has assured that Nigeria is well prepared to face England in the round of 16 of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Super Falcons will clash with the Three Lionesses in the round of 16 of the FIFA Women’s World Cup on Monday August seven.
The Sevilla midfielder acknowledged how good the English team is but still believes her side are equally in good stead to trade tackles with the three Lionesses.
“England is obviously a strong team, a very good team, but Nigeria, we are as well and anything can happen in this tournament,” Payne told Totori News.
“If we go out there and improve upon each game, we can definitely get a good result and win England.”
Super Falcons will be meeting with England for the fourth time at the World Cup and Nigeria has the upper hand in the three meetings by winning two and losing one.
