Super Eagles only African team in top 10 most valuable teams in world

The Nigeria men’s national football team has ranked among the top ten most valuable national teams in the world.

The Super Eagles now rank tenth globally for the most valuable national team squads in the world and are the highest placed on the African continent.

England tops the ten-team strong list that contains six other UEFA nations, two from South America and Nigeria as the only CAF representative.

Although, the country narrowly missed out on the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but have already adopted a “Let’s do it again motto” ahead of its AFCON 2024 campaign in Ivory Coast.

In the last few years, Nigeria has seen a meteoric rise in the quality and volume of attackers produced.

The rise in the worth of players like Taiwo Awoniyi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Boniface, and Ballon d’Or nominee – Victor Osimhen, added massively to the value the squad possesses.

The total valuation of the Super Eagles squad is €451.6 million according to a post made by the official Super Eagles on X.

Meanwhile, TransferMarkt’s recent evaluation revealed that Victor Osimhen is currently valued at €120 million, Ademola Lookman at €30 million, Boniface at €40 million, Taiwo Awoniyi at €30 million, and even Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi, who are midfielders, are worth as much as €25 million and €28 million respectively.

However, players like Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappè, Bruno Fernandes, Vinicius Junior, Pedri, and Julian Alvarez also added massively to their national team’s market worth.
