Super Eagles winger Ahmed Musa is eyeing his first English Premier League (EPL) start for Leicester City since February under the guidance of new caretaker manager Michael Appleton as they prepare to face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium this Saturday, according to Completesportsnigeria.com. The 24-year-old Nigerian international has yet to secure a spot in Leicester City’s EPL matchday squad this season, and his last inclusion in the starting lineup dates back to February when The Foxes faced a 3-0 defeat against Manchester United at the King Power Stadium. Since joining Leicester City last season, Musa has accumulated five goals in 33 appearances across various competitions. Teammates Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho are also anticipated to play pivotal roles for Leicester.
Meanwhile, the inclusion of Isaac Success in Watford’s lineup against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain. Success, who last started for Watford in a 4-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in April, has scored only one goal in 20 games across all competitions last season. In the current season, Success made a solitary substitute appearance during Watford’s 3-2 loss to Bristol City in the Carabao Cup.
In Germany, Leon Balogun is eager to make his fourth appearance in the Bundesliga for FSV Mainz after a month-long hiatus. Mainz currently holds the 10th position in the league standings with ten points from eight games.
