Hull City Announces Final Four-Man Shortlist for SportPesa Player of the Month; Aina Not Included
Hull City has revealed the final four-man shortlist for the SportPesa Player of the Month award for October, with Super Eagles defender Ola Aina conspicuously absent from the lineup. The announcement, made on Wednesday through Hull City’s official website, unveils the nominees as former Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell, Allan McGregor, Max Clark, and Bowen Jarrod.
Ola Aina, who joined the Championship club on loan from Chelsea this summer, has been a consistent presence, participating in 15 of the team’s 16 league games this season. Despite starting in three of Hull’s four Championship matches in October, Aina did not make the final cut, having missed the home game against Middlesbrough.
As the former England junior international gears up with the Super Eagles’ squad in Rabat, Morocco, for their critical 2018 FIFA World Cup African qualifying Group B match against Algeria on Friday in Constantine, the omission from the Player of the Month shortlist is noted.
Hull City supporters now have the responsibility of selecting the October Player of the Month from the four-player shortlist. Voting is open until 11:59 on Friday, 10th November, with fans eagerly anticipating the outcome of the poll.
