Ibrahim Alhassan Aims for World Cup Inclusion in Super Eagles Squad

Austria Wien midfielder, Ibrahim Alhassan, harbors aspirations of securing a coveted spot in Nigeria’s squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Alhassan, previously regarded as one of the most talented midfielders in the Nigeria Professional Football League, earned his Super Eagles call-up in May, propelled by his stellar performances for Akwa United.

Since joining Austria Wien, the midfielder has continued to showcase his prowess, netting one goal in 13 appearances for the Austrian Bundesliga side. Expressing his aspirations, Alhassan stated, “It will be great to be part of the Super Eagles again. The World Cup is coming up next year, and I hope to get the chance to fight for a place in the team.”

To bolster his chances, Alhassan acknowledges the pivotal role of consistent stellar performances at his club. “To do that, I must keep doing well at my club, which I believe is the only way I can get recognized by the coaches.
