Olympiakos and Anderlecht Enter the Fray for Nigerian Sensation Tyronne Ebuehi

In a burgeoning transfer saga, Greek champions Olympiakos and Belgian outfit Anderlecht have thrown their hats into the ring, vying for the signature of Tyronne Ebuehi, the Nigerian right-back currently plying his trade with Dutch Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag. This pursuit comes in addition to reported interest from Portuguese side Benfica and English Premier League contender Norwich.

At just 22 years of age, Ebuehi has emerged as a sought-after talent, and the prospect of securing his services has ignited a race among top European clubs. Although his current contract with ADO Den Haag is set to expire in the summer, the Dutch club remains keen on retaining the promising defender.

Jeffrey Fan Ha, an executive at ADO Den Haag, acknowledged the interest from Olympiakos and Anderlecht while underscoring the club’s commitment to keeping Ebuehi. Ha emphasized that any potential move would not materialize during the ongoing January transfer window.

“ADO Den Haag wants to keep the young defender and also try to convince him to sign a new contract,” Ha conveyed to Greek website gazzetta.gr.

Despite the transfer speculation, Ebuehi showcased his commitment to ADO Den Haag by featuring in a recent pre-season friendly against Besiktas, a match that concluded with a 2-2 scoreline. The talented right-back has made 18 league appearances this season, contributing two assists to his team’s cause. As the transfer window drama unfolds, the footballing world eagerly awaits the next chapter in Ebuehi’s burgeoning career.
