Bursaspor Open Talks with Leicester City Over Potential Ahmed Musa Loan Deal

Turkish club Bursaspor has officially confirmed ongoing negotiations with Leicester City regarding a possible loan deal for Nigerian winger Ahmed Musa. Despite making the bench in Leicester City’s recent 2-1 defeat against Liverpool, Musa has yet to feature in the English Premier League this season, with his only appearance occurring in the Carabao Cup win against Sheffield United.

The 25-year-old forward, seeking more consistent playing time, aims to secure a loan move to bolster his chances of making Nigeria’s World Cup squad. Bursaspor, already home to Nigerian internationals William Troost-Ekong and Mikel Agu, emerges as a potential destination where Musa could reclaim regular football opportunities.

During a media interaction, Hasan Parlakay, a representative for Bursaspor, acknowledged Musa’s influential qualities and the potential value he could bring to their squad. Parlakay stated, “Ahmed Musa is a very influential player who will be able to add value and class to us. If we are realistic, we cannot buy him. But he wants to play with Nigeria in the World Cup. For this, you have to keep playing and keep form in the league.”

The proposed loan deal until the end of the year aligns with Musa’s aspirations for consistent game time as he works towards securing a spot in Nigeria’s World Cup squad. The presence of fellow Nigerian teammates at Bursaspor adds a layer of familiarity and camaraderie, making the loan offer an attractive proposition for Musa. Fans anticipate updates in the coming days as negotiations progress between the two clubs.
