Francis Uzoho Aims for 11th Clean Sheet in Real Deportivo Fabril’s Clash with Valladolid

Nigeria’s young goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, is gearing up to secure his 11th clean sheet for Real Deportivo Fabril as they face Real Valladolid II in Sunday’s Segunda Division B league match. Uzoho, a promising talent, has showcased an impressive defensive record, having successfully kept clean sheets in several encounters throughout the season.

Uzoho’s clean sheet tally includes notable performances against teams like Real Madrid Castila, Majadahonda (twice), Real Valladolid II, CD Toledo, Atletico Madrid B, CD Guijuelo, Celta Vigo, UD Sanse, and Ponferradina. Despite his commendable record, the 19-year-old has conceded a total of seven goals over 14 games in the third-tier league. He has also spent time as an unused substitute on eight occasions since joining Real Deportivo Fabril from Deportivo La Coruna’s first team, accumulating four cautions along the way.

His consistent and commendable performances have seen him climb into consideration for Nigeria’s squad, expected to feature in upcoming friendlies against Poland and Serbia.

Real Deportivo Fabril currently holds the third position in the league table, accumulating 47 points from 26 games, a testament to their strong performance this season.

As Uzoho sets his sights on another clean sheet, his contribution has been pivotal in the team’s campaign. With his ambition to continue this defensive prowess, his performance against Real Valladolid II could prove crucial in solidifying his status as an emerging talent in Nigerian football.
