Augustine Eguavoen humbled by Super Eagles interim coaching role
By Saheed Afolabi
Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical adviser, Augustine Eguavoen has expressed optimism to get the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers ticket.
Eguavoen was appointed the Super Eagles interim head coach over the NFF irresponsibility in sealing a foreign expatriate for the job.
The ex international is excited over another chance to headline the technical crew of the Eagles while promising to solve the national team existing circumstances.
“I will do it for the love of the country and the game,” Eguavoen wrote on X.
“Remember football gave me name and fame and the country gave me opportunity so it’s difficult to say no at this point because of the circumstances we find ourselves.”
The Super Eagles will play host to Benin Republic on Saturday, September seven at the Godswill Akpabio stadium, Uyo.
