Crysencio Summerville scores spectacular solo goal for Al Hilal in pre-season friendly

Crysencio Summerville produced a moment of individual brilliance for Al Hilal, dribbling past three defenders before scoring his side’s second goal against Al Ahli Qatar in a pre-season friendly on Monday evening.

The Netherlands winger started the match and made a strong impression during the first half, capping his performance with a stunning finish in the 44th minute.

Summerville received the ball on the left side before driving into the penalty area. He showed close control and composure as he weaved past three Al Ahli Qatar defenders, creating space for himself inside the box.

The 24-year-old then completed the move with a composed finish, sending the ball into the net to put Al Hilal two goals ahead. The strike immediately drew attention because of the skill involved, with Summerville combining acceleration, dribbling and control in a single attacking run.

It was the latest eye-catching contribution from the Dutch forward since his move to the Saudi club. Al Hilal signed Summerville for 55m euros, with a further 10m euros payable in add-ons.

The friendly is part of Al Hilal’s preparations for the new season, with the Saudi side using the fixture against Al Ahli Qatar to assess its players and build momentum ahead of the campaign.

Summerville’s performance was the main highlight of the opening half. His goal came after he had already shown a willingness to take on defenders and attack from the left, and his direct approach gave Al Hilal an additional threat in the final third.

Rather than relying on a simple finish following a team move, Summerville created the opportunity himself. After collecting possession, he carried the ball into a crowded area, evaded the challenges of three opponents and maintained his balance before finding the net.

The goal underlined why Al Hilal invested heavily in bringing him to the club. The deal could reach 65m euros in total if all of the agreed performance-related variables are met, highlighting the importance attached to the winger’s arrival.

The match also comes amid wider discussion around Saudi football, including a separate report referenced alongside the fixture concerning speculation over Vladimir Petkovic and the Saudi Arabia national team. However, the focus on the pitch was firmly on Summerville, whose solo effort provided the standout moment of the first half.

Al Hilal will hope the winger can carry that form into the new season after he announced himself in impressive fashion during Monday’s friendly.
