Nigeria  forward Emmanuel Dennis is on the verge of leaving English Premier League outfit Nottingham Forest, less than five months after his £15 million move from English side Watford.
According to multiple reports, the Nigeria international has been made available this month for transfer as Forest move to trim their 25-man squad to bring in new signings this transfer window.
The 25-year-old was signed from Watford in August but has struggled to impress under Steve Cooper, making three Premier League starts and scoring one goal.
The club would like to offload Dennis before the deadline on January 31 after he is alleged to have infuriated coaching staff for his part in the third goal when they suffered 3-0 defeat at Manchester United on December 27.
However, Dennis can only sign for a club overseas – or return to Watford as he has played for Forest and Watford this season.
Despite Forest’s £150 million summer spending on 23 players, Cooper is keen to make a number of new signings due to injuries suffered by some of his key players.
Forest will make a number of other players available to make room for the squad as offers will also be considered for Loic Mbe Soh, Cafu and Lyle Taylor, Josh Bowler.
“We have to look at where we’re at now. We’ve picked up some long-term injuries to some key players so if we can add players in the right positions then we will want to do that,” Cooper said after 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday.
